Leading Event Associations Partner with Aim to Advance Inclusivity

“The WIPA Diversity and Inclusion committee is thrilled to have this much-needed resource for the wedding industry,” says WIPA Diversity and Inclusion Director Jacqueline Vizcaino. “The NGWA is available to teach beginners as well as longtime professionals alike how they can make their businesses more inclusive - in words, on paper, and on their websites, as well as through practice! We’re at the ready to fully support their initiatives.”

The NGWA has been a committed advocate for LGBTQ+ couples through promoting inclusive practices, providing educational resources for both wedding professionals and couples, and more.

“We are driven by our mission to support, educate and create LGBTQ+ allies globally,” shares NGWA founder Ric Simmons. “Partnering with WIPA’s ongoing inclusion efforts allows us to spread the word to a larger audience of like-minded event professionals.”

The two associations have worked together to partner ahead of NGWA’s Inclusive Awareness Conference, set for January 4-6, 2022 in Palm Springs. Their collaboration will also include reduced-rate admittance and shared educational content. Several WIPA International Board members will also be in attendance to represent the organization.
