As always, a big shout out to our members that have made the news. Below you'll find members that have been highlighted or otherwise recognized. Thank you to those that submitted news this month and thank you to our members that continue to push the outside of the envelope in some way. 

Laurel & Rose was featured for their "Pettie Wedding Giveaway" with a number of Colorado partners in Martha Stewart here!

Laurel & Rose is also excited to offer a limited series "Forest Feast," with tickets available for purchase to the public here. This will hopefully be an ongoing "pop up" dining experience series, offered in unique and private spaces all fall and winter long. 

Rachel Sheerin was interviewed in Authority Magazine on "How to Be Great at Sales Without Being Salesy" where she shared her 5 favorite closing strategies, mindsets around sales and more.

Rachel was also interviewed by Ashley Allen, WIPA Phoenix President, and business Partner, Meghan, on their podcast, The Celebrated Life, where they talked about burnout, being plus size and how to find joy that matters most to you. She also was a featured guest on Myq Kaplan's comedy podcast, Broccoli and Ice Cream. You might know Myq from Conan, Ellen, The Late Show, his Netflix special "Small, Dork and Handsome" or his latest Grammy nominated comedy album, "AKA" which you can stream on Spotify!

Alan Katz of Great Officiants recorded his presentation for Wedding MBA. It is on “How To Do A Killer Ceremony”. If you have registered for Wedding MBA make sure you watch it.  10-10-2020 will be their busiest day of the year. Over 50 “covid safe” Weddings are booked with his team of Professional Officiants. Their previous biggest day was from 10-10-2010 at 49 weddings.

Elizabeth Sheils of Rock Paper Coin and Bridal Bliss was included in several roundups, including ‘Staying Focused While Working From Home’ on Timeline Genius, ‘How to Plan a Socially Safe Wedding’ on Wedding Academy Global, and Top Boutonniere Trends on Generation Tux. She was also featured in a guest article about ‘Fall Cleaning: Tackling Your Inbox Once and For All’ on Catersource. She shared with Be Sage Consulting what to do ‘When You Get A Bad Review: Revisiting Strategies in The Digital Era.’ Elizabeth and Nora also gave ‘Tips for Promoting Your Events During A Crisis’ on Special Events.  

Oleta Collins, Founder and Owner of Flourishing Art Design Studio was featured on WalletJoy and contributed to ‘The Ultimate Wedding Budget Checklist.’   

Kinsey Roberts of She Creates Business sat down and spoke with The Confetti Hour Podcast on ‘Diversifying Revenue Streams.’ She also shared ‘Apps and Programs That Help You Preschedule Your Content Marketing’ on WeddingIQ.  

Michelle Loretta of Be Sage Consulting (formerly Sage Wedding Pros) appeared on Wedding Bossness and discussed how to ‘Manage Your Cash Flow During A Crisis.’ 

Christie Osborne of Mountainside Media was featured in guest articles on WeddingIQ about ‘Google Analytics: 5 Reports to Run Each Month,’ Catersource about ‘A Guide to Proactively Planning Your Holiday Marketing Push,’ and GoodShuffle about ‘How to Make Sense of My Event Company’s Web Analytics.’ She also spoke to She Creates Business on ‘How to Set Yourself Apart from Your Competitors with Quantitative Data’ and was covered in ‘5 Things You Should Do to Become A Thought Leader in Your Industry’ on Authority Magazine. 

Kevin Dennis of WeddingIQ was featured on Catersource and discussed ‘Avoiding Miscommunication with Your Clients.’ He also weighed in on ‘The Do’s & Don’ts of Tux Rentals’ on Generation Tux. 

Jennifer Taylor of Jennifer Taylor Consulting discussed with Talk with Renee Dalo Podcast on how to ‘Thrive at Work & at Home.’ She was featured in guest articles on NACE about ‘Making an Impact Through Industry Associations,’ GoodShuffle about ‘Turning Event Employees into Loyal Brand Enthusiasts,’ and Special Events about ‘Three Growth Opportunities for Event Pros and When to Consider Them.’ She was also included in a roundup on Timeline Genius about ‘Staying Focused While Working from Home.” 

Emily Sullivan of Emily Sullivan Events sat down and spoke to Bridal Business Bootcamp on ‘Dominating your Niche & Insight into Small Weddings.’ Emily was also featured in print in Wedding Planner Magazine on ‘Microweddings.’  

José Rolón of José Rolón Events weighed in on 'How to Keep the Littlest Members of Your Wedding Party Focused During the Rehearsal’ on Martha Stewart.  He also spoke about parenting and discipline with Yarel Ramos on Univision’s Se Habla USA.

Renée Dalo of Moxie Bright Events was featured on Martha Stewart for ‘A Leap Day Wedding with Polished Orange Accents in Los Angeles.’  

Margaux Fraise of Harmony Creative Studio shared insight on 'What to Do When Wedding Couples Try to Break the Rules’ with Special Events, while also being featured on Brides.com for an article on Hope Chests. She was also a guest on the Big Wedding Planning Podcast discussing how to Avoid the Comparison Trap, as well as the Wedding CEO podcast about Facebook Group Strategies.

Meghan Ely of OFD Consulting shared insight on ‘Event Companies During the Pandemic’ on Allseated. She gave advice to AislePlanner on ‘How to Handle A Negative Review’ and shared more on ‘Wedding Business PR in 2020’ with Wedding MBA Podcast.

Preoccupied Bride won ChicagoStyle Weddings/The Celebration Society’s 2020 Designers’ Challenge for their lemon-inspired design, Fresh Rustic Romance.

Magnolia Celebrates participated in a styled shoot that has been published on Elizabeth Anne Designs. One of Laura Maddox’s weddings was also published in Engaged Life.   Laura Maddox also was published is several articles: Top 10 Boutonniere Trends For 2021, Tips for Promoting Your Events During a Crisis, 7 working parents on how they’re navigating school this year, How to Dress Kids for Wedding, The Ultimate Monthly Business Checklist for Event Pros.

Tyler Huffman of Cage and Aquarium was recently interviewed in an SF Gate article, "Virtual dinner tables, Zoom hosts: The New Standards of Pandemic Weddings." In the midst of the pandemic, Cage and Aquarium launched Be There, a live streaming and hybrid virtual event platform aimed to help couples move forward with their weddings in the current times. The SF Gate article recognized Huffman for his innovative ideas and ability to produce virtual weddings at a high level. Friar Tux officially kicked off Fall wedding season with a Fall Tones Boho Wedding blog post featuring the green notch lapel suit, perfect for a groom’s most photographed day. Next up, Stitch & Tie by Friar Tux served up a Downtown L.A. Rustic Chic Wedding blog post that shows how one couple changed their outfits from their quaint micro-wedding ceremony and dinner, to afterwards when they celebrated the night away. Friar Tux is proud to work with so many talented industry partners on styled shoots and recently launched an online application for vendor partners who wish to style a model in a suit or tuxedo for an upcoming styled shoot.
