Event Design Legacy and International President WIPA Rrivre Davies Announces Retirement From Rrivre Works Inc.

Esteemed event designer and innovator draws Rrivre Works Inc. chapter to a close.

Los Angeles, California. (June 20, 2018) - Event design entrepreneur Rrivre Davies, the founder and owner of Rrivre Works Inc. Design Innovation Laboratory, and rentals, is announcing his retirement from the event rental company. He leaves behind a legacy of innovation and design and will be widely celebrated by his past clients and the event community at large. Rrivre plans to commemorate his retirement and share his esteemed collection of rentals, and unique designs, through an exclusive auction on July 28 & 29.

Best known for his out-of-the-box work and creativity, proving that design and function can truly meld with very few limitations, Rrivre spearheaded numerous showcase events such as California Wedding Day, Ceremony Magazine, The Knot, Hollywood Life Magazine Design House, Indian Wedding Show and many more. His work was seen on RuPaul’s Drag Race, David Tutera Television, KTLA Week of Weddings, and Diane Valentines ‘Whose Wedding is it Anyway?’, the Bachelor, Bridalplasty, and the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Rrivre, and his work have been featured in esteemed publications such as Vogue, Us Weekly magazine, People, Inside Weddings, Martha Stewart, Grace Ormonde, Hollywood Life, and others as he designed and delivered events for celebrity clients and business titans. From Marcia Cross and Oprah Winfrey events, to Elton John’s celebrations, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries wedding, as well as Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s wedding, and even Michael Jordan’s All Star Birthday Events; Rrivre has been a highly sought-after designer for Hollywood’s finest.

Winner of the BizBash Top Innovator 2012, named the Designer of the Year and Supplier of the Year 2012 by Event Solutions Spotlight and chosen as the 2018 recipient of the WIPA Award of Excellence from Southern California chapter, Davies has made his mark on the event and design industries. He led the industry in innovation and creativity as he served as the President of Wedding International Professional Association both 2017 and 2018, and gave back to the community through consistent charity work and community involvement. From movie Nights for safe houses of abused women and children, the Royal Ball, Santa Barbara’s Pacific Pride Foundation Fundraiser, the California Science Center, The Dream Foundation, and many more, Rrivre dedicated his design talents and resources to give back to those in need.

Not only has Rrivre become widely known for his esteemed clients and noteworthy appearances, he last left a lasting impression on the rental and design industry as a whole. He was constantly pushing the boundaries of design and introduced the industry to innovations that are taken granted today that only exist because of his brave approach to design and engineering. Growing up with a father who was a builder, and a mother who was an artist, Rrivre’s designs were not just elegant and innovative, but architectural, and space transforming. He was the first to bring lounge furniture to the event rental market, the first to have beautiful wooden bars, and the first to create dining and coffee tables that held water. The copyrighted LOVE Table is one of Rrivre’s designs.

With his insight, the concept of a rental collection was born.  For the first time because if his designs, the industry saw a dining table designed with a tree coming out of the center of it, and the amazingly popular pergola structures that are showcased in so many weddings today were his concept and creation.  Rrivre created coffee tables and bars with fire coming out of them, and was the first to innovate and engineer a temporary tent structure with a hard ceiling, not just draped in fabric, but mirrored, tufted, or wooden ceilings. He also brought the concept of hard architectural walls for tents into the industry.  These are just some of the innovations that we take for granted today that only exist because of his brave approach to design and engineering.

Although Rrivre is retiring from Rrivre Works Inc., he will still be a design force and innovator. He will be spending more time with family in Europe, on their farm, in the Lake District (World Heritage Site) and in Montecito, and will be writing a book to help young entrepreneurs, and artists in the event industry.  He will also be consulting other companies on how to bring design and innovation to their market. His trendsetting in the event industry is likely far from over, as design and innovation is in his blood.
