I have to start off with WOW! WOW! WOW!
You have all elected an incredible group of chapter presidents. We all met in Long Beach for our retreat, and went over the legalities, SOP's bylaws and goals for the upcoming year. I was so inspired by the enthusiasm of the new chapter presidents and their representatives. As we expand exponentially and bring the message of wedding excellence, professionalism, and fair business practices to more parts of the country, I rest easy knowing that the dynamic group I met in Long Beach will be at the helms of our chapters.
It was an honour to be in the room with our amazing past president Brit, and two founding sponsors of WIPA, Paulene Perry and Paula Lascal- without these ladies, among others, none of this would be possible. We are also grateful to have Therese and Nahid spearheading efforts on our active advisory board. You will get to hear some of what they have been working on soon. I can only say THANK YOU to them because they are working diligently and using their charm and finesse to create miracles.
I look forward to attending the meetings throughout our WIPA family and meet other Board Members, WIPA members, and attendees. I am incredibly excited to be part of WIPA this year as I have always been, and I hope you all share the excitement with non WIPA members and help us effect a positive change on our growing industry.

Got Light was named a Best of 2017 Winner for Best Sound & Lighting on the premiere online wedding resource, Borrowed and Blue. In national news, they were also named Special Events 2017 Gala Awards Winners for Best Use of Lighting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Opening Gala, their second consecutive win!
Kevin Dennis of WeddingIQ was recently announced as a speaker at the 2017 WeddingWire World in Anaheim, CA in May. His company, Fantasy Sound Event Services were also the recipients of 5 NACE Silicon Valley Best of Industry Awards, including Best of Videography. Recently published articles include Catersource, Social Tables, and Timeline Genius.
Three Tomatoes Catering was featured in The Salonniere for their expert advice in hosting and entertaining. They offered up a few new items from their spring and summer menu for 2017. They were quoted amongst some other fine “entertainers” like, Victoria Hentrich and Thomas Bui.
POPPY & PINE was featured in the Denver Post for the opening of their first brick and mortar shop in the Stanley Marketplace. Their designs were also showcased in fall style shoot in Colorado Couture and at 5280 Dines. They added 5 new team members in December including a new floral designer and event coordinator, Suzanna Healy.
Naakiti Floral Design has expanded its company with a new & inspiring store, Cork & Thorn. Cork& Thorn debuted its grand opening mid-January & has an inspired following already! Cork & Thorn is a premiere floral shop that uniquely infuses a first-person floral design experience with the enjoyment of a wonderful glass of wine or champagne.
